5th Arrondissement

The 5th Arrondissement is full of parks and gardens that Parisians and tourists frequently visit. Throughout my stay in Paris, I visited the Jardin des Plantes. The Jardin des Plantes is a garden full of science museums, such as paleontology, geology, astronomy and anesthesiology. There is also a cute little zoo within as well. On my venture, I went inside Paris's museum of natural history, which was very interesting and very impressive. The evolution of animals exhibit was one of the most interesting and fascinating museums I have visited in my stay here. The various bone structures of all kinds of different animals were amazing. There were even structures of whales. There were also many people in this district making it a popular place for one to go. The Parisians come here to run since there are beautiful gardens and plenty of space. It is a huge garden with beautiful pathways and much to do. I loved coming here and having so much to do. I could’ve spent all day here going to all of the museums and checking out the gardens.

Who knew there were actually cyclops.....

The famous English Shakespeare bookstore that housed authors such as Hemingway.

The Panthéon was originally a church built in the 1800’s. Inside there is a massive dome and many statues of amazing people. Down below there is crypt that holds many famous people, such as Marie Curie, Victor Hugo, Voltaire, and Rousseau. This is an amazing place that highlights the great people that influenced France’s history.

The Architecture inside is monumental.

The dark and secret passage that leads into the dungeons.

A big part of Parisians' lives is their meals that include fancy cheeses. Each district is full of Fromageries, where one can go to their specialty cheeses. These shops sell nothing but cheese and have wonderful dishes to go with your wine. The staff was very friendly and nice enough to offer me samples of the various cheeses within the store. In this district there were many of these.
