15th Arrondissement

The 15th arrondissement proved to be very interesting because of all the buildings and attractions there were. The apartments in the area were very nice and it seemed like a great area live. This district was on the left side of the Seine and had the Eiffle Tower in full view. The town seemed more modern than most parts of Paris and the architecture reflected that. It was different than most of the areas of Paris I have been to because of this reason. Along with modern buildings, there were many banks and businesses in this district that made it very business orientated. There was even a street called “Rue de Entrepreneurs”.Upon my visit to the 15th I went to the main shopping mall, Beaugrenelle Shopping Center, which was my favorite thing I got to see. It was huge with many shops that attracted a lot of shoppers. July is the month that stores are allowed to have sales and this month only in Paris. This led to many people shopping around and the stores were packed. This also mall made the district more popular and added some hype to the area.

There was also a park I went and visited, the Jardin des Meres, which was a cute little hole in the wall park. It was perfect for reading or spending a few moments relaxing. The park was filled with beautiful flowers and I love the arrangement that was on the arc. While being there, two men were having a quick smoke break as most Parisians partake in.

The park was nearby the Little Statue of Liberty that is almost as grand as the one in New York. It is in the middle of the Seine where all can see and get a glimmer of what the full one looks like. It was a good reminder of America and was happy I got to see it.
