16th Arrondissement

These last few days in Paris have been great and it is approaching time for departure. This great city is amazing in so many different ways and I learned that there is something new to discover everyday. One of my first adventures here entailed going to a concert with some of my very best friends in the Parc de Bagatell. We saw artists such as Lorde, Earl sweatshirt, and Foals. It was a great way to start my experience here in Paris and found the concert to be very exciting. The concert etiquette was much different than compared to the United States and the concerts there. Everyone was very polite when it came to space and even when the headliner came on. It was a different concert experience but I liked it a lot. The park was beautiful and of great size, which was perfect for holding concerts and events. As usual the park was maintained with perfect upkeep and was a perfect place to hold the event. This was the perfect introduction into the French culture.

Interesting Site: Parc de Bagatelle

The sixteenth arrondissement lies directly behind the Eiffel tower and is known for having the best spots to watch the Bastille Day fireworks. This is the Trocadéro area where there are government buildings in the square such as the Mariana Museum of Paris. You will find many tourists here as well because of the view of the Eiffel Tower.

Tourist Attraction: Place de Trocadéro

Just behind the Trocadéro area is the Passy neighborhood. My friends and I visited the cemetery here that was guarded by huge walls. It was a comparable cemetery to Pere La Chaise, because of all the stone tombs. This is a wealthy area of Paris and the apartments surrounding the cemetery were very nice. I found this area of Paris to be very likable.

Architectural Site: Passy Cemetary

Commercial Business: Le Coq Restaurant
